Have Your Kid's Next Birthday Party
at BookPeople!
BookPeople's Birthday Parties are 1.5 hours in length and chock-full of literary fun! The birthday parties are intended for children aged 1 – 6.
The parties run differently depending on which Birthday Party Option you choose:
The STORYTELLER BIRTHDAY PARTY includes a welcome and a 20-minute story time (choose a theme below or just let one of our wonderful bookseller select delightful, age-appropriate books), followed by crafts & games.
The PUPPET SHOW BIRTHDAY PARTY includes a welcome and a 20-minute puppet show followed by crafts & games.
The SPECIAL GUEST BIRTHDAY PARTY begins with 10 – 15 minutes of stories followed by either a musical performance by Ms. Staci OR visiting animals from Tiny Tails Petting Zoo, then crafts & games.
Time is reserved at all parties for treats (cake, food, drinks, must all be pre-approved by BookPeople and brought by you), time for presents, and singing Happy Birthday!
PARTIES INCLUDE:
*15 minute planning session with BookPeople staffer 15-30 days prior to the party date (Mon through Thurs,10-5)
*1.5-hour private use of time on BookPeople’s 3rd floor event space
*A 15 to 20 minute story time by a BookPeople party helper
*A craft activity (led by BookPeople party helper; crafting supplies provided by BookPeople)
*Goodie
bags for all kids attending the birthday party which will include a
$5.00 gift certificate, stickers, other trinkets. We are happy to add
any additional goodies that you bring for the bags.
*Helium Balloons, Streamers, and a customizable Birthday Banner will be provided by BookPeople

BIRTHDAY PARTY PACKAGES
The cost of our birthday parties varies according to our different birthday party packages. Each
party option lists a flat fee, which covers up to 20 children (not including parents). If you expect more than 20 children, or more than 20
attend the day of the party, we will charge an additional $5 a head.
1. Generic Storyteller Birthday Party Package - $150 (flat fee)
- A BookPeople party helper will read stories selected by BookPeople or selected in advance by the parent/birthday child.
- Crafts and goody bags!
2. Themed Storyteller Birthday Party Package - $200 (flat fee)
DR SEUSS!
- We'll read lots of clasic Dr. Seuss stories
- Activity: Pin the Eggs on the Green Eggs & Ham!
- Craft: We'll make red & white stiped hats just like the Cat’s!
- Extra Fun: Our BookPeople party helper will paint whiskers & black kitty noses on guests!
- Goody bags! (Includes $5 BookPeople gift certificate.)
- BookPeople will provide a list of suggested additional Seussian-themed activities, snacks & decor parents can use to make this party extra special!
FANCY NANCY! 
- We'll read lots of fun & fabulous Fancy Nancy books!
- Activity: We'll play dress up with tutus BookPeople provides.***
- Craft: We'll make tiaras to go with our fabulous fancy outfits!
- Extra Fun: Tea party to go along with the cutting of the cake! BookPeople will provide the tea set.
- Goody bags! (Includes $5 BookPeople gift certificate.)
- BookPeople will provide a list of suggested additional Fancy Nancy-themed activities, snacks & decor parents can use to make this party extra special!
PETE THE CAT!
- Read lots of cool & funky Pete the Cat books
- Activity: We'll play musical chairs to the Pete the Cat songs!
- Craft: Color Pete's cool shoes!
- Extra Fun: Dress up like Pete! Our BookPeople party helper will paint whiskers & black kitty noses on guests! BookPeople will also provide special blue cat ears for everyone & a signature Pete the Cat heart to wear during the party.***
- Goody bags! (Includes $5 BookPeople gift certificate.)
- BookPeople will provide a list of suggested additional Pete the Cat-themed activities, snacks & decor parents can use to make this party extra special!
3. Puppet Show Birthday Party Package - $ 250 (flat fee)
- Puppet show performance by BookPeople’s Amazing Puppeteers. (Performance is based on a book. If you have a book preference, we can discuss it ahead of time.)
- Crafts, games, & goody bags!
4. Special Guest Birthday Party Package - $325 (flat fee)
- Performance by Ms. Staci, a local children's musician, or a visit from Tiny Tails Petting Zoo.
- Crafts, games, goody bags!
Extra fun: Don't forget to add a bit of fun by encouraging the children to dress up in the theme of the party/storybook! During the pre-party planning session we will learn about any specifics you may want to share, and if we can do something special-we will! Example: Dr. Seuss is your theme and we learn The Lorax is your little one's FAVORITE, so we will be sure to read The Lorax and have Lorax coloring pages, etc.
Decorations: BookPeople will provide, helium balloons, streamers, and a birthday banner. You are welcome to set up additional decorations in the party room. Please let us know in advance what you would like to set up. We do request that the decorations you bring go home with you and that the room be left in the condition it was in before the party.
Food & Drink: We welcome and encourage you to bring food (cake, snacks, etc.). You are responsible for bringing all plates, forks, napkins, ice chests, ice, decorations, etc. that you will need for the party.
To Book a Party: Please fill out a reservation request form and email it to birthdayparties@bookpeople.com. A BookPeople party planner will contact you after you have submitted a reservation request form. Birthday parties may be reserved up to 3 months in advance.
Once a date has been confirmed with one of our party planners, a deposit of $75.00 will be due to hold the space. Payment in the form of a check must be delivered to BookPeople within 24 hours of date confirmation in order to reserve the space. We have limited dates available, and they will be reserved on a first-come, first serve, basis. Deposit will be applied to the final payment if room is returned on time and in good condition.
