How Our Events Work

BookPeople is proud to host over 300 events every year. Our events are free and open to the public, unless otherwise stated.

To get a book signed at one of our events, a copy of the event book must be purchased from BookPeople. By purchasing a book from BookPeople, you are not only supporting a local, independent business, but you are also showing publishers that they should continue sending authors to BookPeople. Think of it this way: you wouldn't bring your own beer to a bar, would you?

For events where we anticipate large crowds, wristbands may be required in order to join the signing line. Occasionally we may also ticket events. In both cases, information as to when wristbands/tickets are available will be found on that event's specific page on our website.

 BUDDY VALASTRO
star of the hit TLC series Cake Boss
will sign his new cookbook,

Baking with The Cake Boss:
100 of Buddy's Best Recipes and Decorating Secrets.

Buddy Valastro is an accomplished fourth-generation baker born in Hoboken, NJ. With the help of his family, his father's recipes, and his own innovative decorating and sugar art techniques, Buddy has taken his family's business, Carlo's Bakery, to new heights.

At Carlo's, Buddy and his staff turn out thousands of wedding cakes, specialty cakes, and pastries weekly. His award- winning designs have been featured numerous times in different bridal and baking magazines. His memoir cookbook, Cake Boss: The Stories and Recipes from Mia Famiglia, is a New York Times bestseller and Carlo's Bakery has been featured in books, newspapers, such as The New York Times, and television, mostly The Food Network, although he and his cakes have also been featured on The Today's Show, Good Morning America, The View, and HBO's hit series, The Sopranos.

Buddy will just be signing books at this event.  He will also be at The Paramount this evening at 7:30PM, speaking, answering questions, and even doing a live demonstration. Tickets still available here.
