How Our Events Work

BookPeople is proud to host over 300 events every year. Our events are free and open to the public, unless otherwise stated.

To get a book signed at one of our events, a copy of the event book must be purchased from BookPeople. By purchasing a book from BookPeople, you are not only supporting a local, independent business, but you are also showing publishers that they should continue sending authors to BookPeople. Think of it this way: you wouldn't bring your own beer to a bar, would you?

For events where we anticipate large crowds, wristbands may be required in order to join the signing line. Occasionally we may also ticket events. In both cases, information as to when wristbands/tickets are available will be found on that event's specific page on our website.

Our class continues to look at hose who put there mark on American crime fiction. Few were as enduring and entertaining as Rex Stout with eccentric genius Nero Wolfe and his hard boiled, wisecracking legman Archie Goodwin. We'll be reading Some Buried Caesar, which many consider the best in the series. After our discussion we'll view an episode of the acclaimed A&E series. Copies of the book are 10% off for those who attend.
