How Our Events Work

BookPeople is proud to host over 300 events every year. Our events are free and open to the public, unless otherwise stated.

To get a book signed at one of our events, a copy of the event book must be purchased from BookPeople. By purchasing a book from BookPeople, you are not only supporting a local, independent business, but you are also showing publishers that they should continue sending authors to BookPeople. Think of it this way: you wouldn't bring your own beer to a bar, would you?

For events where we anticipate large crowds, wristbands may be required in order to join the signing line. Occasionally we may also ticket events. In both cases, information as to when wristbands/tickets are available will be found on that event's specific page on our website.

OFFSITE: Jodi Picoult at the Alamo Drafthouse Lake Creek

  • Off-site Events
03/19/2011 3:30 pm

BookPeople is proud to host Jodi Picoult at the Alamo Drafthouse Lake Creek.

Jodi Picoult is the best-selling author of seventeen novels, including Keeping Faith, My Sister’s Keeper, and House Rules. Her latest book is Sing You Home, and she’ll be appearing live at The Alamo Drafthouse Lake Creek for a multimedia experience, brought to you by BookPeople!

Jodi will be doing a reading and Q&A, PLUS she’ll have Ellen Wilber here playing live music inspired by Sing You Home. In the novel, the main character Zoe is a music therapist, and these songs are written from Zoe’s perspective and add to the richness of the story.

Jodi’s events are always a lot of fun, as she loves interacting with her fans. Not only will you have a chance to hear your favorite author talk in-depth about her latest book, but come with questions to ask her about the writing process and any of her amazing novels.

BookPeople will be on hand selling extra copies of Jodi’s books. The book inclusive ticket includes a signed copy of Sing You Home PLUS a CD of original music from Ellen Wilber. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind event with the ever-popular Jodi Picoult!

wi**Jodi will personalize all purchased copies of SING YOU HOME and sign (1) ONE backlist copy without personalization **Photos are permitted, but will not be posed. Photos can be taken in front of the table as Jodi is signing the book.
