Ah, the joy of a fresh baked loaf of bread! Tonight we celebrate artisan bread makers and home bakers alike with a visit by award-winning author and bread connoisseur, Samuel Fromartz. Equal parts memoir, history, and cookbook, The Perfect Loaf shares Fromartz's passion for bread and how his search for the perfect loaf took him across the world and into some of the most famous kitchens, from Paris to Portland to San Francisco, where he learned the history, science and more of breadmaking. Join us as Tom Philpott of Mother Jones moderates the conversation this evening.
