Local authors Sandy Rankin and Spike Gillespie join forces tonight to deliver a double-header reading from their respective new books. Sandy will read from Pearl Street Memories, and Spike will read from The Maine Event, and this reading marks the world premiere of both books. Event starts at 7pm. Refreshments will be served. In order to have anything signed at a BookPeople event, a copy of the event book must be purchased from BookPeople. Sandy Rankin is a critical care nurse who has been working in trauma for over thirty years. She has published countless medical articles in the US and internationally. Pearl Street Memories is her first adventure in fiction. This collection is based on real life memories that have followed her—sometimes hauntingly, sometimes joyfully-- throughout her life.
