How Our Events Work

BookPeople is proud to host over 300 events every year. Our events are free and open to the public, unless otherwise stated.

To get a book signed at one of our events, a copy of the event book must be purchased from BookPeople. By purchasing a book from BookPeople, you are not only supporting a local, independent business, but you are also showing publishers that they should continue sending authors to BookPeople. Think of it this way: you wouldn't bring your own beer to a bar, would you?

For events where we anticipate large crowds, wristbands may be required in order to join the signing line. Occasionally we may also ticket events. In both cases, information as to when wristbands/tickets are available will be found on that event's specific page on our website.

Join us when wine specialist STEPHANIE WETHERILL shares more fun facts about the Texas wine industry in a special presentation of her new book, Cheers Y'all: A Toast to Texas Wines. After the presentation, Stephanie will guide us through a complimentary tasting of Texas wines, courtesy of the Texas Wine and Cattle Company, and sign copies of her book. Come on down!
