Varian Johnson
Varian Johnson couldn’t decide if he wanted to be an author or an engineer, so he decided to do both. In addition to working as a licensed civil engineer, Varian is the author of three novels, including My Life as a Rhombus, a Texas Library Association Tayshas High School Reading List selection, and Saving Maddie, a Bank Street College of Education Best Children’s Book of 2011. Varian is also a graduate the Vermont College of Fine Arts, where he received an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults.
