Banned Camp is a partnership between Austin Public Library and BookPeople. We invite you to come together, engage with books that have been banned or challenged, and be part of the conversation. We’re fans of the banned, and we think you should be too!
For Banned Books Week 2023, BookPeople will be collecting monetary donations to buy banned or challenged books to be distributed through the Austin Public Library BookMobile!
The APL BookMobile will distribute the books bought with these donations at their bookmobile stops where they reach the public, ages 0-99+. Stops cover all of Austin, Del Valle, and occasionally Manor.
