Hard Word Book Club

Tough stories with hard hombres and dangerous dames, where survival trumps virtue, no matter what side of the law you are on; this is what you’ll find in the Hard Word Book Club.  Scott and Nolan will guide you through the Texas plains of 1880, neon streets of fifties L.A., to the back alley’s of present day Galway, with writers like Kelton, Hammett and Lehane.  Meeting the last Wednesday of every month at 7PM, this month’s book is Absent Friends by S.J. Rozen, who will be calling in to speak with the book club.

I Read Banned Books Book Club

Governments and people around the world work to ban books that they believe challenge, embarrass, or criticize them. But, thanks to the efforts of readers like us, the right of the public to read good books is preserved. Join Emily and Deblina as we celebrate our freedom to read the fourth Sunday of every month at 7PM. This month's book is The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy, challenged in India for obscenity.
