Nothing ever happens to Charlotte and Frankie. Their lives are nothing like the lives of the girls they read about in their YA novels. They don’t have flowing red hair, and hot romantic encounters never happen—let alone meeting a true soul mate. They just go to high school and live at home with their parents, who are pretty normal, all things considered. But when Charlotte decides to write down everything that happens during their sophomore year, to prove that nothing happens and there is no plot or character development in real life, she’s surprised to find that being fifteen isn’t as boring as she thought. It’s weird, heartbreaking, silly, and complicated. And maybe, just perfect.

Brooke Danvers is pretending to be fine. After six weeks of in-patient therapy, she’s gotten so good at pretending that they’re sending her home. Now she just has to fake it long enough for her parents and teachers to let their guard down. This time, when she is ready to end her life, there won’t be anyone around to stop her.

Then Brooke meets Derek. Unlike her family, her therapist, or even her best friend, Derek really gets what Brooke is going through, because he’s going through it too. As they start spending more time together, Brooke suddenly finds herself having something to look forward to every day. More than that—she might even be happy.

But when Derek’s feelings for her intensify, Brooke is forced to accept that the same relationship that is bringing out the best in her might be bringing out the worst in Derek—and that Derek at his worst could be capable of real darkness.

The second book in the NEW YORK TIMES bestselling series The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee.

The sumptuous second book in the Thousandth Floor series has all the drama, romance and hidden secrets that landed the first book in this series at #2 on the NEW YORK TIMES bestseller list.

Picking up where the New York Times bestselling fantasy novel Three Dark Crowns left off, One Dark Throne continues with higher stakes, jaw-dropping reveals, and an ending readers will never see coming.

With the queens’ sixteenth birthday celebration on the horizon and the unforgettable events of the Quickening behind them, the sisters must reassess their strategic paths to the throne in light of what has happened.

Katharine, once the weak and feeble queen, is curiously stronger than ever before. Arsinoe, after discovering she’s not a naturalist, must figure out how to use her potentially life-threatening secret before it winds up killing her. And even though Mirabella’s powers are as strong as ever, the incessant attacks on her and her people have left her questioning if being crowned is worth it if everyone in her wake dies.

But time is running out, and the triplets aren’t the only ones in Fennbirn scheming about what’s to come. Friends and foes alike who stand to benefit from the victory are trying to force the hands of the sisters, pushing them toward a shocking outcome that defies history, confounds nature, and forever changes everyone involved.

Annie Barrows is the #1 New York Times bestselling coauthor of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, and the author of The Truth According to Us, and the Ivy + Bean chapter book series. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society was a Time and USA Today best book of the year. Her books have been nominated for many awards, including the Bluestem Award, the Mark Twain Award, the Virginia Readers’ Choice, the Massachusetts Children’s Book Award, and the Kentucky Bluegrass Award, and have been included on the New York Public Library’s 100 Titles for Reading and Sharing. Ivy + Bean has been an ALA Notable Book and is one of Common Sense Media’s “50 Books All Kids Should Read Before They’re 12.”

Zac Brewer, writing under the name Heather Brewer, is the New York Times bestselling author of the Chronicles of Vladimir Tod, which has sold more than 1.5 million copies around the world, as well as the spin-off series, the Slayer Chronicles, and two standalone novels, The Cemetery Boys and The Blood Between Us. He lives in Bridgeton, MO, with his husband, two children, and diabolical cats.

Katharine McGee is originally from Houston, Texas. She studied French at Princeton then moved to Manhattan, where she began her publishing career at HarperCollins and later joined the Alloy Entertainment editorial team. After three years of plotting, outlining, and generally having more fun than anyone ought to at work, she pitched a concept called "skyscraper city", and knew immediately that it was something she wanted to write. She holds a MBA from Stanford University.

Kendare Blake holds an MA in creative writing from Middlesex University in northern London. She is the author of Anna Dressed in Blood, a Cybils Awards finalist; Girl of Nightmares; Antigoddess; Mortal Gods; Ungodly; and the New York Times bestselling Three Dark Crowns. Her books have been translated into 18 languages, have been featured on multiple best-of-year lists, and have received many regional and librarian awards. Kendare lives and writes in Kent, WA.
