Come get curious with

We'll be exploring stories of science discovery, sharing awesome books from our science section, and conducting cool science experiments with Lindsay Patterson and Marshall Escamilla, hosts of the Tumble Science Podcast for Kids!

TUMBLE is a science podcast for kids. They explore stories of science discovery, starting with kids' own curiosity. Each episode features voices of kids and scientists, while the hosts weave the story together, adding humor and breaking down scientific concepts. Tumble is targeted at children ages 6-12, but kids as young as three and adults without children have reported loving the show.

Lindsay Patterson is the founder, co-host and producer behind Tumble. Her background is in public radio and science reporting.  Her not-so-secret secret is that she never "got" science until the day she interviewed an actual scientist. It was only then that she figured out that science doesn't already have all the answers. Scientists are still asking really interesting and important questions about the world. She got excited to tell those stories, and has been telling them ever since, for public radio on podcasts. She's married to Marshall and is mom to Emmett.

Marshall Escamilla co-hosts the show and creates original music for each episode. He brings the educational perspective to Tumble, as well as his wit and good looks. During the day, he's a music teacher. He taught at the Headwaters School in Austin for 14 years, working with kids from elementary school to high school. Imagine a School of Rock type situation, with jazz band and music theory thrown in for good measure. Marshall has his Masters in Music Education. He is married to Lindsay and is dad to Emmett.
