Murder in the Second Pew, The Dot on the Left, The Thinking Log

Follow-up to The Preacher's First Murder:

He was a good cop until he ran into a bad one. Then, to save what was left of his family and his sanity, Michael Hogan, Jr., entered the Fed's Witness Protection Program and became Pastor Matthew Hayden. Just out of seminary, Matt takes a church in rural Texas, looking forward to peace, quiet and a good dose of humility. What he doesn't antipate is his new next door neighbor to be a red-headed, bar-owning bombshell. Matt might be a man of God now, but he is still a man.

Wilks, Texas, is not what he expected either. The town seems ruled by the past and Angie, the beautiful bar owner's daughter, is murdered.

We all have dreams. Too often, those dreams seem out of reach to us for so long that we lose hope that we will ever achieve them. Fortunately, there are three key steps that anybody can take to making their dreams a reality. In this book, Dave Swanson details how he used these simple principles (who wrestles goats anyway?) to overcome staggering odds and graduate from the United States Military Academy Preparatory School. Despite being an academic laughing stock and having a rudimentary understanding of math, Dave beat the odds and earned an appointment to West Point. Through Dave's inspiring story, you will stop and consider all those dreams that you have long put on the shelf and then make a plan to go after them as if your life depends on it.

If you had asked me a year ago where I might see myself today, my prediction would not have been this.

After thirteen years of a sometimes rocky relationship, Liberty and Adam finally are ready to start the rest of their lives together. Their careers are taking off, their savings are full and plans to ring wedding bells are in process. Then one day Adam makes a shattering revelation: he has a life-threatening illness, and there’s a high probability that Liberty has it too. This revelation will change their lives, and the lives of their loved ones, forever.

Distraught, Liberty finds her way to her childhood home, to her private Thinking Log, to contemplate what this means for her life and to determine a plan to move forward, with or without Adam, no matter what her diagnosis reveals. This moment of contemplation has consequences she couldn’t possibly imagine. In it’s aftermath, lies are exposed, truths are revealed, and we see their relationship in a whole new light.

K.P. (or Kathy as she’s known to family and friends) Gresham is an Illinois girl gone Texan. Always the artsy type, she has taught literature, produced musicals, directed dramas and sung in several bands. Kathy has written several plays which have been produced in the Houston area, including the award-winning drama, Murder Most Personal.

K.P. Gresham writes in two genres. THREE DAYS AT WRIGLEY FIELD is her first offering in what she calls Political Science Fiction i.e. “What if this happened in our society?”

Her other love is writing mysteries with a humorous twist. Published in 2013 was the first in her Texas Murder Series, THE PREACHER’S FIRST MURDER. Coming in late fall, 2014, will be the second installment following the cases of Pastor Matt Hayden, MURDER IN THE SECOND PEW.

Kathy lives in Austin, Texas with her awesome husband, Kevin.  They and their daughter love international travel, music, sports and history.

Dave Swanson is a motivational speaker, author, and former U.S. Army infantry platoon leader who engaged in more than 100 firefights while deployed to Sadr City, Iraq. Dave is a consummate leader who speaks, writes, and coaches with a sense of humor that reminds us we all have the resiliency to overcome the toughest challenges and do our absolute best. Dave is a dynamic, energetic, idea-generating crowd-pleaser whose blend of humor, content, and style makes him a trusted leadership expert in many organizations. A master of working with different levels of people, Dave has alluring insights into how humans interact in the most stressful situations. He strives to make people feel as though he is speaking directly to them with their individual outcomes in mind, and hopes that readers will feel the same in his first book.
