The Duchess of Bristol

We love our local authors here at BookPeople! Tonight, we’re thrilled to welcome Austin author Anne Odom with her new novel, The Duchess of Bristol.

Follow Diana MacDonald from her home, Ainsley Glen in the Scottish Highlands, to the most prestigious drawing rooms and ballrooms of English high society. From the daughter of a country Earl to the wife of the Duke of Bristol, we see Diana struggle with her unorthodox marriage, her attraction to a handsome acquaintance, and her frustration with how women are perceived in the business world of Regency England. Diana is rich, beautiful, musically talented and supremely intelligent, but happiness eludes her. You may laugh, you may cry, but you will never be bored with The Duchess of Bristol.

When Anne Odom retired a few years ago, she had three things she truly wanted to do. Learn to play the piano, write books, and grow beautiful flowers. Well, two out of three isn't bad. She found she had no talent for the piano, but she does have quite a green thumb. This is her freshman novel, but she has two more in the works as well. Anne lives in Texas with one of her sons and his family and the two family dogs, Coco and Rasta

If you cannot attend the event and would like to order a signed copy of the book, add the book to your cart and put SIGNED COPY in the comments field at checkout. We ship all over the world!
