MysteryPeople Presents

at OPAL DIVINE'S featuring:
Glenn Gray,
Matthew McBride,
CB McKenzie,
& Jesse Sublett

Join us tonight as we raise a glass (or two) to a group of great crime fiction writers. Started in Philadelphia a few years, Noir At The Bar has made its way across the country from Philadelphia to LA. MysteryPeople is giving it an Austin spin on November 24th at Opal Divine's on South Congress.

We'll have a great line up of hard-boiled authors on the scene reading from and discussing their works, featuring Glenn Gray, Matthew McBride, CB McKenzie,  and Jesse Sublett.

So come out to Opal's (3601 South Congress) at 7PM and help us celebrate a new tradition - Austin's Noir at the Bar.

Glenn Gray‘s stories have appeared in a wide range of print and online publications and anthologies. Beyond his writing career, Glenn is a practicing physician specializing in Radiology. He lives in New York. His debut story collection,The Little Boy Inside and Other Stories, (Concord ePress) was released in October 2013.
Matthew McBride is a former assembly-line worker living in rural Missouri. In his words, “These people are the people I know and see every day, and this is the world I know.” He is the author of the cult hit Frank Sinatra in a Blender and newly released A Swollen Red Sun.
A native Texan, CB McKenzie has through-hiked the Appalachian Trail, modeled for Giorgio Armani, worked on an organic farm, and earned a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. Bad Country is his first novel.
Jessse Sublett is an Austin musician and author. Jesse will also entertain us with some of his famous murder ballads. Jesse's novels include Rock Critic Murders, Tough Baby and Boiled in Concrete. His work has been published in the New York Times, Texas Observer, Texas Monthly, the Austin Chronicle and various other places. For years he wrote extensively for the History Channel.

In order to have anything signed at a BookPeople event, a copy of the event book must be purchased from BookPeople. If you purchase your book from BookPeople in advance of the event, please save your receipt and present it at the event.
