ABOUT LADY GRIM REAPER (AKA TERESA Y. ROBERSON)
International Math/Science teacher, author, spoken word poet, producer, editor, director and podcaster, Teresa Y. Roberson showcases her experiences based on her survival skills honed through teaching and traveling globally, cooking ethnic food, doing yoga, dancing, and challenging society’s preconceived ideas about minority women.
As a quintessential Virgo, Teresa has channeled her natural inclination for organization and thirst for knowledge during this adventure known as her professional career. Throughout six different countries (Tanzania, South Korea, Egypt, Mexico, Honduras, USA) from 1992-2014, she researched and wrote engaging secondary math and science lesson plans. Then, she expanded those research and writing skills as a biology curriculum writer; a math and English test question editor; an electrical engineering web content editor; and a podcaster.
Furthermore, Teresa self-published two novels, Tribe of One and The Adventures of Infinity & Negativa. Plus, she produced and hosted of the Austin Writers Roulette (2012-2019), a bimonthly, theme-inspired, spoken word and storytelling event. Then, in 2020 while the world was still in the throes of a pandemic, she launched the first season of her podcast, CBD & Poetry, executing all the post-production herself.
Laying the foundation for her future success as a one-woman production company, Teresa graduated with a Masters of Arts in Education from the University of Denver (1999) and a Bachelors of Arts in Biology and Mass Communications (1992).
