Grace Street Alley and Other Stories

Grace Street Alley and Other Stories contains 27 interlinked stories, set largely in Richmond, that follow a character named Levy Bahm as he navigates education, love, race, work, drink and violence, and strives to understand his place in a universe that is mostly uncaring yet still somehow beautiful.

X.C. Atkins writes fiction and makes zines. He has published short stories with literary magazines such as Paper Darts, Poydras Review, and Annalemma and in anthologies such as Akashic Books "Richmond Noir" and Makeout Creek's "Evil One." This is his first collection of short stories. He lives, works, and writes in New Orleans.
