I'll love any genre, fiction or non fiction, if I finish the book and feel inspired. Seeing characters learn, grow, and change for the better is more important to me than how realistic the plot is. When an author really focuses in on the emotional journeys of their characters, I'm sold.

I am drawn to the strange, whether it is David Foster Wallace’s ADD driven multi-plots, epistolary works like Ella Minnow Pea, experiments like House of Leaves, hardcore nonfiction on obscure topics, or almost any graphic novel, I ain’t afraid o’ no book!

  • Young Adult Fantasy

When I open a book I want to be transported into another world. I use reading as an escape from the hectic world around us. I don't necessarily mean that the book has to be happy go lucky, but I want to experience another version of this life.

  • Young Adult

I love reading anything character driven, or where the characters and their development are the center of the book. I have ALWAYS loved young adult fiction and fantasy, and that love will never die. Big fan of memoir, fantasy, and general fiction - but mostly anything that makes me ~feel~.

I read a mix of adult and YA titles and will happily dip into any genre, from hard-hitting contemporary to cozy fantasy and beyond. I'll never say no to character-driven books, queer stories, the found family trope, or a good retelling!
